    Blu-ray Audio Description?
When I load in the Blu-Ray film Fury in to ByteCopy the list shows one title of 2+ hours length. I converted it to iPad Air Full HD Video (mp4) and the result has the file complete with Audio Description, i.e. when the Sony logo at the start is shown it describes it. After contact support I was told the disc contains several audio tracks…the first track come with the audio description while others not. Note to check audios before ripping your movies!

I use Bytecopy to rip the discs to mp4 files, sometimes multitrack, sometimes just mp4. And I like to play them from a hard disc (my media center at home) and also from the iPad when being not at home. Therefore, mp4 is my preferred video format.

It is the Big Hero 5 that I own, which I was testing out ripping for first trying. Also, my TV is the Panasonic VT65. It is played back via DLNA, served by Plex server. My ideal media solution is to shrink the disc to big screen TV and ByteCopy fulfill this smoothly. Nice try!

I’m working on Bluray backup for my iPad and iPhone. Just tried BDMagic on my iMac and have ripped some sequals of Game of Throne. The iPad Air HD/SD and iPhone 6 HD/SD presets work brilliantly. Movies are saved on a Seagate drive to watch now.

I am using Pavtube iMedia converter to rip my 3D movies in SBS format mp4 files. I do this so that I can watch these through my apple tv without having to keep a large collection of Blu Ray movies out. They now sit in storage.

  6. Which tool should I use to backup Blu-ray to Samsung ue48h6670?

My tv is Samsung ue48h6670 - which is a 2014 model and seems to support pretty much all file types. As a tv it is unique to the UK, but is the equivalent of the ue48h6700. I’m using Plex for Samsung to stream from Mac (OS X Yosemite) to the TV. The Plex for Samsung is about the only plex client that will support most file formats - including m2ts, mkv etc. I’ve managed to backup my Blu-ray film by using a trial version of ByteCopy and then remuxed it to m2ts which plays perfectly.

  8. Looking for a blu-ray ripper to convert disc to Apple TV for kids

I'm looking for a ripper to convert my blu-rays (all purchased). The target file format is the mp4 extension in order to build an iTune library for my 2 kids. With an Apple TV, we have a full control on what our kids can watch or not without a risk for the DVD or blurry discs. Our trial copy of Bytecopy works great. Have anyone used its multi-audio-track options? Any insights?

Since the new Yosemite OS upgrade on my Macbook Pro my Mac the Ripper no longer works to copy discs. I've been told by various people I now need to purchase various software to do so. All I want to be able to do is copy DVD's onto my Mac so I can save the file on a hard drive and also burn them onto DVD-R's if I so wish. Glad I downloaded BDMagic from glorysoft. This tool has a very simple interface and run well on Mac Yosemite. Recommend.

  10. Can I reconvert home-made DVD (DVD Architect) back to digital formats?

Since years I make HD video films using Sony’s Vegas Pro en DVD Architect software. With Vegas Pro you can you change and modify whatever you want to make the video film as professional-like as possible, and with the DVD Architect software you can make chapters so that customize the 1.5 - 2 hours video films with chapters. Now I want to watch these videos on tablet without a USB hub, thus downloaded ByteCopy from stack social. It works reliably and is reasonable priced.
